No. You risk
the chance of the pond popping out of the ground
as the ground freezes because there is no weight
to hold it down.
Repair tape must
be placed on a clean, dry surface. It can go on
the inside, outside, or both sides if you really
want to be sure. Just peel off the backing and
stick it on.
No. Nothing like
that will stick to the ponds. HDPE (high density
polyethylene) is second only to Teflon in non-stick
properties.
No.
No. The HDPE
actually expands and contracts in the heat and
cold so if it were in cement it would not be able
to do that & would crack.
Yes, but the
sides must be supported at least 1/2 the way up
to keep them from billowing out when all the water
is put in.
Just lay it upside
down on a flat surface in the warm sun for a few
hours. The problem should be corrected.
No. They quickly
become covered with a thin film of sediment, which
is not very pretty. Drowned worms and other decaying
debris may also settle between the pebbles, placing
them out of reach of scavenging snails and fish.
This could cause bad pond hygiene and affect the
health of the pond's inhabitants.
Yes, but a suitable
footing underneath the pond must be provided before
the pond is installed. A concrete sub-base (about
4" thick) that is a few inches longer and
wider than the bottom of the statue or pedestal
should be enough. If this isn't done, the weight
of the statue can crack or tear the pond.
The evaporation
rate/quantity depends upon weather conditions
such as heat, humidity (or lack of), and wind;
also, whether there is a fountain, sprayer, or
waterfall installed. You can always check with
a local swimming pool maintenance company to see
what they have found to be normal for your area.
Warranted for
a lifetime from date of purchase against MANUFACTURER'S

warranty take the defective pond along with the

After calculating your pond size, make sure to
purchase a dispenser and pond cleaner refills
that will treat at least the size of your water
feature. Always round up, because our products
won't be as effective if you under-treat your
pond. For example, if your water feature is 800
gallons, you should purchase the dispenser and
refills for 1200 gallons.
Yes. When used as directed, the Natural Pond Treatment
products have no adverse affects on humans, fish,
plants or pets.
Absolutely! One of the biggest mistakes pond owners
make is overstocking and overfeeding fish. A general
rule of thumb in the pond industry is 1 inch of
fish per 10 gallons. For example, only 1 koi or
two 5-inch goldfish should be in a 100-gallon
pond. We highly recommend using a filtration system
with fish.
Some people may see results in as little as 2
weeks. For most it's more like 4 to 6 weeks. If
your pond has heavy organic matter or excessive
nutrient buildup, it may take 8 weeks or longer.
However, once the system becomes balanced, results
are more easily sustained.
Yes, these items will supplement the performance
of the Natural Pond Treatment by increasing the
dissolved oxygen in the water, which will allow
more bacteria to grow, and achieve balance faster.
It is very common to see an algae bloom in your
pond after you've added the Natural Pond Treatment,
as it typically takes 4 to 6 weeks for the bacteria
to break down the excess nutrients and for the
water to become more clean and clear.
The Natural Pond Treatment is not an algaecide.
It is a natural pond cleaning system that balances
your ecosystem. As a result of using our product,
water becomes cleaner and clearer.
We do not recommend the use of algaecides in conjunction
with the Natural Pond Treatment products, as they
will kill the bacteria necessary to create a balanced
ecosystem.
If algaecides or other chemicals were employed,
we recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before treating
the pond with the Natural Pond Treatment. You
can begin using our product sooner, but it may
not be as effective.
Blue dye and UV light can be used with the Natural
Pond Treatment products. It is important to remember
that these approaches treat the symptoms of problems,
while the Natural Pond Treatment treats the root
cause.
Using MacCourt's Natural Pond Treatment products
will certainly improve the water quality and bring
more clarity to your pond or water feature. However,
since it is a natural product, it will encourage
a natural, balanced ecosystem, which isn't always
crystal clear. Remember, your pond isn't a swimming
pool so don't "treat" it like one!
Testing is necessary for two reasons. First, it
is important to know initial conditions to ensure
the pH is in range to sustain bacteria growth.
Second, this allows the ability to track changes
in water conditions over time.
Controlling pH is critical to survival of beneficial
bacteria and establishing balanced ecosystem.
If pH is too high or too low, bacteria won't thrive.
What you see is the remaining gel that held the
bacteria, enzymes and nutrients used to treat
your pond. The bacteria and enzymes are completely
dispensed in 30 days, so the packet is no longer
effective. Replace it. Don't rip the packet open
and pour the gel in your pond, as it will have
no affect.

After drilling
3/16" holes through the window well cover
in the necessary positions, clips must be mounted
to the window well cover. Hold the screw by the
head putting it through the clip from the inside
and then through the washer. Next put it up through
the window well cover from the underside and then
screw the cap nut on from the top side of the
window well cover. The clips can be tightened
or loosened to grip the well by tightening or
loosening the screw. The tighter you turn the
screw, the smaller or tighter the clip gets.
